Our Commitment
Jesus Christ calls His Church not to complacency, but to faithful obedience and forward movement. The Apostle Paul reminds us to be "forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead" (Philippians 3:13–14).
With gratitude for our inheritance, yet without clinging to what has passed, we commit ourselves to strengthening what is faithful, correcting what has weakened, and preparing the Moravian Church for the century ahead.
Christ as Head of the Church
Jesus Christ is Lord. Doctrine, governance, and mission remain subject to His authority.
The Binding Authority of Scripture
Holy Scripture is the governing standard for faith, doctrine, and life.
Strengthening Moravian Identity
The inheritance of the Unitas Fratrum must be actively strengthened, not diluted.
Clarity for Unity
Lasting unity requires shared conviction rooted in Scripture.
Reform Where Needed
Doctrine, structure, and programs must be examined regularly and aligned with Christ.
Disciplined Stewardship
Resources and leadership must serve the Church’s mission intentionally.
Renewed Global Witness
The Moravian Church is a missionary church; obedience to the Great Commission remains central.
